Not for the first time and also on reflection he wondered "Why don't these costly three bladed razors last hardly any longer than my old 2 bladed ones". They certainly gave one of the best shaves, but not for very long. So what was going on? On closer inspection of the razor Mark saw how the first blade looked dull, which was why it was performing badly, but then Mark also noticed how bright the third blade looked. That was the moment when the idea for making a way of using all the blades the same amount was born, about August 2004.
